December 2023 Raglan Campground upgraded their boom gates and access control system using only products from Aero NZ along with local installer WCS Wilson Contracting Services
After a Busy Summer season 4 months on we asked Leanne for feedback on how things had been going with the overall solution provided. the following is what she had to say:
Since our new Licence Recognition Plate (LRP) automatic gates were installed the first benefit we noticed was a reduction in the number of vehicles on site. With the old access card system they were able to get round it and bring in extra vehicles, but now with the new gates we can control who has access, reducing the number of unauthorised vehicles and unpaid guests coming on to sites and using facilities. Our staff now spend less time chasing up unauthorised vehicles and sorting issues at the gates.
The next benefit was with the LRP, cars have quicker access, reducing ques and wait times. The pin pad controllers work well for motorbikes and vehicles with bullbars or obscured plates. We installed wall buttons as an option to open the gate without entering details which is useful for deliveries or one off vehicle access. Trade vehicles and contractors have automatic access, enabling them to go directly through, they have commented that it is more efficient for them. We are also able to check-in annual site holders so they can drive straight through on arrival.
With LPR automatic entry we are reducing the number of check-ins and people that reception needs to deal with. If we have a query using the dashboard we are able to search for vehicles entering the park, it’s a useful feature.
The integration with our booking system was easy, pin and numberplate control is easily administrated in Newbook.
The team at Aero NZ and their local contractor (WCS) were great to work with during the installation process. They were professional, mindful of the parks needs considering we were still operating and it is a high traffic area and they have continued to provide excellent ongoing service and support.
The investment in the new gates and especially the LRP system, streamlines park access and save our staff time in security and reception tasks, it has changed the way we operate. We would highly recommend Aero and their team and the LRP system.
